We Daughters of St. Paul have always had a great devotion to St. Joseph since our congregation’s foundation in 1915.St. Joseph, Guardian of the Holy Family has been our constant help in obtaining our necessities.
Initially, when we operated our own printing presses we were in need of supplies, especially during the years of the depression. Our first sisters would pray earnestly to St. Joseph and place a sample of ink or a needed item at the foot of his statue. The prayers continued and inevitably a call would come from a benefactor whose desire was to give something such as a substantial monetary offering or the exact item we prayed for. A miraculous answer to prayer.
At this time we turn to you our friends and benefactors requesting your help, as we begin our novena of prayer to St. Joseph for help. We need to renovate one of our buildings, an old warehouse, we call the “Promise Land,” into a place for mission for our designers, illustrators and photographers.

Thank you for the quick response to our request for help. May Our Lord bless you and be assured of our prayers for your daughter Joanna. We have an intention book in which we write the names of those requesting prayers, there at the doors of our chapel. When the Sisters come to chapel in the morning they are made aware of these intentions and pray for the families of those requesting our prayers. We will write your intention there.
